Twin Cities Picture Book Salon!

It’s a FREE community gathering of picture book writers of all levels who want to support one another’s new endeavors and generate energy around picture book writing in the Twin Cities.  Let’s gather to mix and mingle, keep each other up-to-date with news and announcements, share resources, discuss issues relevant to modern picture book writing.

Bring your self and your enthusiasm for picture book writing, and, if you want, your book, business cards, flyers, brochures, etc.  Please pass this invitation on to others who you think might be interested–my contact list is far from complete!  Find our facebook group here.

Sometimes the Muse hip-checks you as you’re walking through the grocery, reaching for the frozen dumplings. Sometimes the Muse seems like they are ignoring your calls and changing their number. The truth is, the Muse is calling from inside the house, and it’s up to you to pay the phone bills. Bring some paper and a pencil to the November Salon, because David Huyck (http://davidhuyck.com/) will be talking with us about where to look for ideas, how to spot the good ones, and ways to develop them into your next first draft.

*Salon has been moved to the third floor in 2017.

SAVE THE DATE: Our next Salon will be December 4th, when Sarah Warren, Melina Mangal, and Tracy Nelson Maurer will present on picture book biographies.

Subscribe to my newsletter (right sidebar) to receive Salon reminders in your email as well as other announcements, book recommendations, and links.
