Twin Cities Picture Book Salon!

It’s a FREE community gathering of picture book writers of all levels who want to support one another’s new endeavors and generate energy around picture book writing in the Twin Cities.  Let’s gather to mix and mingle, keep each other up-to-date with news and announcements, share resources, discuss issues relevant to modern picture book writing.

Bring your self and your enthusiasm for picture book writing, and, if you want, your book, business cards, flyers, brochures, etc.  Please pass this invitation on to others who you think might be interested–my contact list is far from complete!  Find our facebook group here.

(Adults only, please. 16+)

WHERE:             Room 203, The Loft Literary Center @ Open Book

1011 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis MN

WHEN:              Spring Salons have been CANCELLED

Since it’s clear we won’t be through this thing quickly, I’ve decided to cancel the May and June Salons. Those (awesome) speakers have agreed to present on their (awesome) topics in the fall, so you will still get to hear from them when it is safe for us to gather again. Please take good care, stay safe and healthy, and if you have time and energy for virtual literary events, I’d encourage you to participate in the Loft’s online WORDPLAY festival – great events are happening each week. It’s all FREE, but please donate if you can so that the Loft stays strong though this tough time. Thank you so much for your support.

Snacks and beverages provided.  Suggested donation $5.  Please RSVP: mollybethgriffin@gmail.com or on the Facebook event.

The Picture Book Salon meets on the first Monday of most months, in the large classroom on the –>second floor<– of Open Book (room 203), 7-8:30pm. Suggested donation $5 helps cover snacks, drinks, supplies, and promotion.

Subscribe to my newsletter (right sidebar) to receive Salon reminders in your email as well as other announcements, book recommendations, and links.
